Zoedale Plc
has supplied a UK company which specialises in producing Rainwater Harvesting systems with Valpes ER actuators and 3-way ball valves for use in a new system for a leading supermarket site.
This exciting product is a system developed specifically for commercial buildings with minimal storage space. Rainfall will be diverted from the building’s roof to a storage tank instead of adding to the local watercourse. The harvested rainwater will go through a multi-stage filtration process before being used for flushing toilets.
The new system will have significant benefits compared to a standard pressurised unit. Installation and running costs will be reduced by simplifying electrical and pipe work and by using efficient soft-start pumps. It will also offer a reliable back-up service during low rainfall periods without the need for large header tanks.
It is estimated that the system will reduce the supermarket’s annual mains water bill by more than £1,800 per annum.
This system is suitable for Agricultural buildings as well as all Commercial and Industrial buildings...a great consideration during these times of eco friendly lifestyles and energy conservation.
